GRABINSCHRIFT DES GROẞEN NIKOLAUS VON PETRUS BONOMUS TERGESTINUS
EPITAPHIUM NICOLAI MAGNI. PETRUS BONOMUS TERGESTINUS
Beschreibung
This epitaph deals with someone who was a proper attraction of the Innsbruck court: Nikolaus Haidl, a man of extraordinary height who was majordomo in the service of Sigismond of Tyrol, then of Maximilian I and finally of his wife Bianca Maria Sforza. Haidl died between 1491 and 1494 at the age of 30. Bonomo also dedicates C. 58 and C. 59 to him.

such an impressive height might foreshadow an equally long life, but unfortunately the mortal condition is common to everyone, regardless of body frame.
